Culturtain Musicat Productions just dropped the official trailer for “Song of the Fireflies” featuring singing sensation, Morisette Amon.

“Song of the Fireflies” is a film directed by King Palisoc, produced by Culturtain Music Productions and Cignal Entertainment. The screenplay by Sarge Lacuesta is inspiring story based on the Loboc Children’s Choir where Amon plays the role of a music teacher.

This is the film’s first trailer. It features the picturesque Loboc Bohol and Amon singing a haunting original Tagalog song with lyrics by Sarge Lacuesta and music by Ryan Cayabyab:

Minsa’y nakakasilaw ang ilaw ng mga alaala
Ngunit tahan muna, tahan muna
Limutin muna natin ang lahat
Tayo ay mga tala, mga munting alitaptap
Kapag tayo’y kumikislap, akala mo’y munting kidlat

‘Di ba’t ito ang ating pangarap
Na sabay tayong pumikit
Na sabay tayog kumislap
At sabay tayong umawit
At sa pagdating ng araw
Sa pagdating ng panahon
Iisa ang ating liwanag
At sabay tayong babangon

In the trailer, we also see her co-stars including Noel Comia Jr (Kiko Boksingero), Rachel Alejandro, and other children from the choir. According to a Facebook post by GR Rodis, the film is slated for release in the last quarter of 2020. We are guessing this will be for next year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, just like “Ang Larawan” which was also produced by Culturtain Musicat Productions. We cannot wait to see the movie.
