In Season 2, the sun is a lie, joy is a trap, and Wednesday Addams is once again enrolled in the school of perpetual torment known as Nevermore Academy. Welcome to the Summer of Woe. All four episodes of Part 1 are now streaming, with Part 2 set to creep onto screens Sept. 3.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” say co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who apparently enjoy watching us squirm.

“Nothing is what it seems in Season 2,” Millar warns ominously. “Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”
In other words: Wednesday is back, and you’re still not ready.
