‘Gen V’ Season Two Trailer Premieres at San Diego Comic-Con

At San Diego Comic-Con, Prime Video debuted the official trailer for the second season of Gen V, the spinoff series set in the Emmy Award-winning world of The Boys. The upcoming season introduces events and revelations that connect directly to the final chapter of The Boys. The first three episodes will premiere September 17, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

The panel featured cast members Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Hamish Linklater, and showrunner Michele Fazekas. The discussion was moderated by franchise cast member P.J. Byrne.

The session began with a surprise greeting from Chace Crawford, who reprises his role as The Deep, a member of The Seven and a Godolkin University alumnus. Crawford will appear as a guest star in the second season.

The trailer previewed developments for several main characters, along with appearances from the larger The Boys universe. It also announced Ethan Slater in a recurring role as Thomas Godolkin and revealed further unexpected plot elements.

Sean Patrick Thomas, who plays Polarity, has been promoted to series regular.

Slater, who portrayed Boq in Wicked, has received a SAG nomination and a Tony nomination for his role in SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway. He will appear in Gen V and CBS’s Elsbeth.

In Season Two, students return to Godolkin University as the country grapples with Homelander’s growing dominance. A new Dean promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated as heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma come back to school carrying the weight of past trauma. With tensions rising between Humans and Supes, the group uncovers a secret program linked to the university’s origins. Marie appears to be at the center of the discovery.

The cast includes Sinclair, Broadway, Phillips, Thor, Luh, Germann, Thomas, and Linklater.

Fazekas serves as showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Ori Marmur, Thomas Schnauz, Steve Boyum, and Brant Engelstein. Loreli Alanís, Gabriel Garcia, and Jessica Chou are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
