Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Nick Grace Management and GMG Productions, has announced that Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular will be staged in Manila beginning January 20, 2026. The production will run for a limited engagement at The Theatre at Solaire until February 15.

As Les Misérables approaches its 40th anniversary at London’s Sondheim Theatre, the tour presents what is described as a “breathtaking reimagining” of the musical. The production, expanded from Les Misérables: The Staged Concert, includes new set and lighting designs and will feature a company and crew of over 110. The cast includes international performers alongside Filipino and international musicians performing live on stage. Full casting has yet to be announced.
The production, which began touring in September 2024, has drawn praise across the United Kingdom and Europe. Scotland’s Daily Record called it, “This powerfully perfect production lifts the roof off!” Sydney’s Limelight described it as “A superb, powerful production that sweeps you up in its grip,” while Sydney’s The Guardian noted, “Do you hear the people sing? I did, and it was magical.”
“We’re beyond thrilled to bring this monumental show back to Manila. This time in a groundbreaking, never-before-seen format,” said Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG Productions. “Filipino audiences have always shown an incredible passion for world-class theatre, and we know Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular will be unlike anything they’ve experienced before. It’s an epic reimagining of the world’s greatest musical, and we’re honored to be part of its journey around the world.”
Les Misérables is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. The production is directed by James Powell and Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy, with design by Matt Kinley and music supervision by Stephen Brooker and Alfonso Casado Trigo.
Tickets will be available starting August 11 via TicketWorld. Early access runs from August 4 to 7, 2025 through UnionBank of the Philippines. A waitlist is open at www.gmg-productions.com.
