Coldplay is doubling down on its environmental mission, reissuing all nine of their studio albums on sustainable, clear 140g EcoRecords.
Each LP is made from 100% recycled PET plastic bottles using a cutting-edge injection-moulding process that slashes carbon emissions by up to 85% compared to traditional vinyl. The band first tested the format with last year’s Moon Music, the world’s first album released on an rPET EcoRecord.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with artists such as Coldplay who share our commitment to a more sustainable future for music,” said Jen Ivory, Managing Director at Parlophone. “The shift to EcoRecord LP for their releases is a testament to what’s possible when innovation meets intention. It’s not just about a new product; it’s about pioneering manufacturing that significantly reduces environmental impact, providing fans with the same high-quality audio experience while setting a new standard for physical music production.”
EcoRecords offer the same audio fidelity and visual appeal as traditional vinyl, but use post-consumer recycled plastic—about nine bottles per LP. The lightweight and recyclable material also cuts down on shipping emissions and long-term environmental impact.
