KATSEYE continues to raise la temperatura. The global girl group dropped “Gabriela”, the second single from their upcoming EP Beautiful Chaos, arriving June 27 via HYBE x Geffen Records.
Produced by Andrew Watt (Lady Gaga, Jungkook) and John Ryan (Sabrina Carpenter), “Gabriela” channels the spirit of a Gen Z “Jolene” — a catchy, side-eye anthem layered over sultry rhythms. The track also marks a first for the group, featuring a Spanish verse from Daniela, a first-generation Latina American.

In the music video, which premiered on MTV Live, MTVU, and in Times Square via Paramount billboards, KATSEYE goes full telenovela. Jessica Alba stars as the powerful CEO of Gabriela Enterprises on the hunt for a successor, sparking a boardroom power struggle with the group at the center. Directed by Andrew Thomas Huang (Björk, FKA Twigs), the visual is pure drama.
“Our music video for ‘Gabriela’ is vibrant, colorful, dramatic, and full of heart,” said KATSEYE. “We leaned into the world of telenovelas because they’re iconic and over-the-top in the best possible way – from the acting to hair and wardrobe. We tried to honor that spirit while having fun with the concept. It’s all love, all homage, and definitely all drama!”
The group — Daniela (Cuban/Venezuelan-American), Lara (Indian), Manon (Ghanaian-Italian), Megan (Chinese-American), Sophia (Filipina), and Yoonchae (Korean) — is set to perform their breakout single “Gnarly” at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards. “Gnarly” has already racked up 100M+ global streams and a pair of buzzy remixes, one featuring Ice Spice and another with Lara, Lancey Foux, and Slush Puppy.
Rolling Stone named the remix one of its “Songs You Need to Know,” and Billboard added, “KATSEYE Heats Up ‘Gnarly’ Summer with Ice Spice Remix.” The FADER called the original track “abrasive, camp, totally chaotic,” dubbing it an early contender for song of the summer 2025.
KATSEYE made a splash in late 2024 with their debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists and Heatseekers charts. With Beautiful Chaos, the group explores the blurred lines between the digital and real worlds, capturing the highs and lows of modern girlhood.
PAPER called the EP “an encapsulation of the group’s buzzing energy,” while Wonderland said, “They’re taking over the pop world…”
Formed through HYBE and Geffen’s Dream Academy and featured in Netflix’s Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, the six-member act has already landed on the cover of Teen Vogue, scored deals with Glossier and Urban Outfitters, and earned two iHeartRadio Music Award nominations. VEVO DSCVR and TIDAL both named them artists to watch for 2025.
