In a grand tribute to a modern classic, TBA Studios is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Heneral Luna with a star-studded reunion.
The studio brought together the lead stars of its acclaimed historical trilogy — Heneral Luna (2015), Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral (2018), and the upcoming Quezon — for an epic class photo that marks a decade since the groundbreaking biopic first hit theaters.

Shot by renowned photographer Artu Nepomuceno at Gateway Cineplex 18 in Quezon City, the photo features Heneral Luna star John Arcilla, Goyo lead Paulo Avelino, and Jericho Rosales, who plays the titular role in Quezon. The image captures the trio — along with cast members from across the trilogy — as if they were moviegoers enjoying a film on the big screen, a symbolic nod to the power of storytelling and cinema.
Originally released on September 9, 2015, Heneral Luna went on to become the highest-grossing Philippine historical film of all time, sparking what would later be dubbed the “Bayaniverse” — a cinematic universe chronicling the lives of Filipino heroes through Heneral Luna, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, and Quezon.
According to TBA Studios President and COO Daphne O. Chiu-Soon, “We assembled the stars of our historical films Heneral Luna, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, and Quezon to celebrate the shared experience of cinema and the electricity of a live audience.”
She added, “This photo shoot fittingly encapsulates TBA Studios’ love for and commitment to Philippine cinema as we celebrate Heneral Luna and the 10 years since it came out in theaters. It also signals our excitement as we await the release of Quezon in Philippine cinemas on October 15.”
