TBA Studios has announced that its historical biopic Quezon will premiere exclusively in Philippine theaters on October 15, 2025.
Quezon is the highly anticipated conclusion to the studio’s “Bayaniverse” trilogy, a cinematic series inspired by Philippine history. The trilogy began with 2015’s Heneral Luna, the country’s highest-grossing historical film, followed by 2018’s critically praised Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.
Jericho Rosales takes on the title role of President Manuel L. Quezon, with Jerrold Tarog returning to direct after helming the first two installments in the trilogy. Filming wrapped on June 10, and the film is expected to chronicle Quezon’s life as the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines.

Several actors reprise their roles from the previous films, including Benjamin Alves as young Quezon and Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo. Iain Glen, best known for playing Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones, joins the cast as Leonard Wood.
The ensemble also features Arron Villaflor, returning as Joven Hernando, with Cris Villanueva portraying the older version of the character. Other cast members include Romnick Sarmenta as Sergio Osmeña, Karylle as Aurora Quezon, JC Santos as Manuel Roxas, and Jake Macapagal as Manuel Nieto. Supporting roles are filled by Bodjie Pascua, Angeli Bayani, Jojit Lorenzo, Joross Gamboa, Therese Malvar, Ana Abad Santos, Ketchup Eusebio, and Nico Locco.
The film is produced by Daphne O. Chiu-Soon, with support from TBA Studios’ Chairman Emeritus Fernando Ortigas and CEO E. A. Rocha. Jericho Rosales also served as co-executive producer, alongside associate producers Margie Navarro-De Guzman and Atty. Rod Vera. The screenplay was co-written by Jerrold Tarog and Rody Vera.
Key members of the crew include Pong Ignacio (Director of Photography), Monica Sebial (Production Design), Immanuel Verona and Fatima Salim (Sound), and The Post Office (Visual Effects).
Quezon is a recipient of the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ CreatePHFilms incentive. An international release will follow after its Philippine premiere.
