Disney and Pixar unveil the new trailer and poster showcasing the upcoming all-new original feature film “Turning Red” from Pixar Animation Studios. The film is directed by Domee Shi, who won an Oscar® for her 2018 short film, “Bao.”

The voice cast includes young actress Rosalie Chiang who lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS). Sandra Oh (“The Chair,” “Killing Eve”) voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.

In this upcoming Disney/Pixar animated feature Turning Red, life is tough enough for Mei Lee, a teenage girl who’s trying to adjust to being a teenager and do well in school. But none of her friends or most people who know her, the secret she’s hiding is her uncontrollable ability to transform into a huge red panda when stressed out.

Directed by Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins, Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” is set to premiere in the US on March 11, 2022.
