The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has collaborated with celebrity couple Nico Bolzico and Solenn Heussaff for another episode of “Spouse Cook-Off” as part of HKTB’s “100 Reasons to Miss Hong Kong” campaign.
Roast goose, beef brisket noodles, egg tarts, and Hong Kong-style milk tea are probably some of the must-eat food when you visit Hong Kong. The couple worked on the traditional beef brisket noodle, an iconic Hong Kong dish loved by many, and gave it a little twist.
Because of the pandemic, travel plans have been put on a halt, making us wait a little bit longer before we could savor those dishes again. Meanwhile, with HKTB’s campaign, Filipinos can take a trip down memory lane by reminiscing about their favorite memories of Hong Kong.
“One of the things that I love about Hong Kong is that when you go there, it seems like you’re so far away ‘cause there are so many things to do,” shares Solenn. “And of course, what I miss about Hong Kong the most is their amazing food—from the street food to all the 5-star restaurants.”
For this spouse cook-off, Nico and Solenn put a twist on the beef brisket noodle and turned it into a beef brisket bao dish as created by Asia’s 2017 Best Female Chef, May Chow.
