Lucasfilm has released the first teaser trailer and poster for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the upcoming feature film set to hit theaters on May 22, 2026.

The new film follows Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu as they embark on what Lucasfilm describes as their “most thrilling mission yet.” The story takes place after the fall of the Galactic Empire, with the New Republic working to secure peace across a fractured galaxy. Scattered Imperial warlords remain a threat, and the Republic enlists Djarin and Grogu to help defend what the Rebellion fought to achieve.

Directed by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released exclusively in theaters and is being filmed for IMAX. The film stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver and is produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Music will be composed by Ludwig Göransson, who returns to the Star Wars universe.

The teaser poster offers a glimpse at new and returning characters. Grogu is shown alongside the Anzellans, using a small telescope while working with Din Djarin. The artwork also features Zeb Orrelios, Sigourney Weaver’s unnamed character, and two Hutts—one of which appears in silhouette.

According to Lucasfilm, a new Razor Crest appears in the teaser, along with scenes of Djarin and Grogu facing off against Imperial remnant AT-ATs. The trailer also includes a gladiator-style arena, where Dejarik creatures appear as large-scale combatants.

“A brand-new Razor Crest has landed,” the studio said in a statement. “This clan of two is ready for the fight.”

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu marks the next chapter in the franchise, continuing the story that began in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. The film opens in theaters on May 22, 2026.
