Lewis Capaldi has released his new single Something In The Heavens, marking the latest addition to his growing catalog of emotionally driven pop ballads. The track arrives in the middle of his sold-out 17-date UK arena tour.
Co-written with Connor and Riley McDonough, Something In The Heavens explores themes of loss and remembrance. “I’ll love you til my last breath, you’re gone but something in the heavens tells me that we’ll be together again,” Capaldi sings on the track.

A short preview of the song was released ahead of the tour, generating strong fan response. Since debuting the track live, audiences in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and London have been singing along. The tour has been met with consistent praise from critics, with four- and five-star reviews across the board. Capaldi closes his three-night run at London’s O2 Arena, with the show being streamed on TikTok LIVE.
Earlier this week, Capaldi announced his biggest UK and Irish headline dates to date, scheduled for summer 2026. The eight-show run begins June 24 at Dublin’s Marlay Park and includes a headline slot at London’s BST Hyde Park on July 11. Pre-sale tickets are available now, with general sale beginning Friday, September 19 at 9:00 a.m.
Capaldi’s recent single Survive debuted at No. 1 in the UK, becoming the fastest-selling single of 2025. It also marked his sixth UK No. 1 single — a milestone that places him alongside artists such as Beyoncé, Drake, Queen, and Lady Gaga. He now surpasses acts including David Bowie, Katy Perry, and The Police in that count.
Capaldi recently returned to the Glastonbury stage for a 30-minute set featuring Survive and Someone You Loved. “I just wanted to come and finish what I couldn’t finish last time,” he told the crowd.
