GRAMMY®, Tony®, and EMMY® Award winner and three-time Academy® Award nominee Cynthia Erivo has released her long-awaited new album I Forgive You, out now via Verve Records/Republic Records/Universal Music Canada.

The 20-track album marks a powerful new chapter for Erivo. She co-wrote every song, bringing listeners into a heartfelt journey of romance, heartbreak, healing, and rebirth. With her signature vocals and emotional honesty, Cynthia presents her most vulnerable and expansive work yet.

I Forgive You

She introduced the album with the single “Worst Of Me,” which earned glowing reviews. Forbes wrote, “Erivo’s soaring vocals are right at home in the emotionally charged R\&B ballad as she addresses a past lover who left her in pain.” Billboard noted, “The artist brings out some of her deepest vulnerabilities, belting out her deepest pains in a powerful synth pop anthem.” Essence described it as a “beautiful ballad.”

Erivo recently performed “Best For Me” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She also brought her music to the TODAY Citi Concert Series stage, singing “Brick By Brick,” “Best For Me,” and a cover of Annie Lennox’s “Why.”

She initially previewed the album with the track “Replay,” co-written with Justin Tranter (Selena Gomez, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga). It quickly gained millions of streams and critical praise. Billboard said it “delves into the emotional rollercoaster of being human,” ELLE called it “groundbreaking,” and added, “The confessional single is transfixing.” ESSENCE listed it among “Best New Music This Week,” saying, “Cynthia Erivo looks to add her name to the Billboard charts with the new single ‘Replay’.” Cynthia also broke down the song for Genius.

This Sunday, June 8, Erivo will host the 78th Annual Tony Awards live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The show will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Earlier this year, she was nominated for “Best Actress” at the 2025 Academy® Awards for her acclaimed portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked and performed live at the Oscars.

With I Forgive You, Cynthia Erivo delivers a moving and powerful album that highlights her artistry, depth, and strength.
