Florrie signs with BMG and Xenomania, Announces Debut Album

Multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and songwriter Florrie has signed a new recordings agreement with BMG and Xenomania Records to release her long-awaited debut album, The Lost Ones, on June 14.

Ahead of the album release, Florrie shared the title track and lead single.

Speaking of the release, she said, “I have been waiting to make my debut album for the last 12 years and it deserved all the time and love I’ve put into it.”

Written and produced predominantly by Florrie and Xenomania founder, Brian Higgins, the album also sees her collaborate with hit-maker Takura Tendayi (Rihanna, Chase and Status).

Laura Bruneau, Senior Marketing Manager at BMG, said: “We are pleased to be joining forces with Xenomania on Florrie’s debut album. She is a fantastic talent – a thoughtful, multi-talented artist, making exceptional, forward-thinking pop music. We can’t wait for the world to hear what she has in store with this new release.”

The London-based songwriter picked up attention and accolades as a member and drummer in the supergroup of songwriters and producers, Xenomania and has co-written huge hits for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Rebecca Ferguson, The Saturdays and Pet Shop Boys.

Later this Spring, she hits the USA with multi-instrumentalist G Flip, on their tour starting in New Orleans on May 16. Florrie will then support Girls Aloud on the five London dates of their comeback tour at the O2 Arena in June – full-circle moment, having played drums on Girls Aloud’s 2008 hit, ‘The Promise’, and co-written their 2012 single ‘Something New’.
