Ima Castro revives “This Little Child”, a Christmas song with music and lyrics by renowned songwriter and record producer Trina Belamide.

The song was originally recorded by Joey Albert as well as the Ateneo Chamber Singers and won an Awit Award for Best Child Performance by Krystal Brimmer in 2017.

Ima Castro who originally sang Belamide’s Metropop-winning song “Shine” reunites with the hit songwriter for “This Little Child” and lends her soaring vocals to a new arrangement by Arnold Buena of what can very well be anther classic about the birth of Jesus, the very essence of Christmas.

Castro is an internationally renowned singer and theater actress. She played Kim in “Miss Saigon” and several other roles around the globe including the beggar woman in  Stephen Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd” with Lea Salonga.

Belamide also composed “Tell the World of His Love”, the theme song of World Youth Day ’95 and the Global Peace Festival Song “Where Peace Begins (One Family Under God).” Both songs continue to be sung around the world and translated in various languages.

You may listen to This Little Child on all digital music platforms including YouTube, Apple Music, and Spotify.
