In a brief online interview, Raven says “Teaching is very fulfilling and rewarding. I love the mentoring process and it is wonderful to see young students desiring to take the lead in theatre design.” He adds, “Those who are taking my online costume design class can expect a lot of creative and productive work from the sessions. I have designed this workshop to focus on topics and activities such as rendering costume designs, creating worlds, color and fabric composition, visual research, making good design choices, communicating with directors, effective design presentations and many more! At the end of the workshop, design projects will be presented to Joy Virata, REP’s Theatre for Young Audiences’ Creative Director.

The costume design class is part of REP’s intensive online classes that also include Workshops for the Performing Arts taught by seasoned REP actors and veterans. Workshops run from July 6 to 31, 2020. Enrollment is now open.
