News of the death of James Lipton has brought sadness to the industry including those he’s interviewed and worked with. 

The iconic host of Inside the Actors Studio who has done interviews with big-named stars for over two decades has died at the age of 93 after a long battle with bladder cancer.

Lipton founded “Inside the Actors Studio” in 1994. In the show, he discusses with actors in front of student audiences hoping they would pick up a thing or two about acting and performance. He was also a dean of the Actors Studio Drama School in New York.
