Spotify has announced on August 4 that Premium subscription prices will soon be increasing in several regions, including South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The company stated, “We’re increasing the price of Premium so that we can continue to innovate on our product offerings and features, and bring you the best experience.” This update is part of Spotify’s ongoing efforts to deliver a personalized, world-class user experience.

Starting from subscribers’ billing dates in September, the new prices will take effect. Premium users in affected regions will receive an email with full details about the change. New users can check the updated rates on spotify.com/premium.

In the Philippines, the updated monthly rates are:

  • Premium Individual: ₱169/month
  • Premium Duo (2 accounts): ₱229/month
  • Premium Family (up to 6 accounts): ₱279/month
  • Premium Student: ₱85/month
    Offer available only to students enrolled at an accredited higher education institution.

If you haven’t tried Premium before, your first monthly payment of ₱169 will be valid for 2 months. Standard monthly rates will apply after.

  • Play songs in any order
  • High audio quality

  • Organize your listening queue
  • Access to K-Pop listening parties (not available in the Mini plan)
