Paramount+ announced the “outrageous, original and wildly entertaining” (Mike Manalo, Nerds of Color) action-comedy NOVOCAINE will arrive on the service on May 13 in the U.S. and Canada.*
NOVOCAINE follows Nathan Caine (Jack Quaid) who was born with a rare genetic disorder that prevents him from feeling any pain. When the girl of his dreams (Amber Midthunder) is taken hostage in a bank heist, he turns his inability to feel physical pain into an unexpected strength in the fight to get her back.

Hailed as “non-stop fun” (Jonathan Sim, Coming Soon), “an absolute blast” (Perri Nemiroff, Collider), and “a genuine riot” (Jeff Ewing, Collider), NOVOCAINE is Certified Fresh(TM) on Rotten Tomatoes(R) and has earned a stellar 85% Popcornmeter audience score**. Jack Quaid “absolutely kills it” (Rachel LaBonte, Screen Rant) as an unlikely hero whose only superpower is that he can’t feel pain.
NOVOCAINE joins Paramount+’s premium collection of high-octane, action-packed movies available on the service, ranging from Best Picture Academy Award(R) winner GLADIATOR and the epic follow up GLADIATOR II, to hit franchises including MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, STAR TREK and TOP GUN, as well as critically acclaimed films like SEPTEMBER 5 and FORREST GUMP.
Paramount Pictures presents in association with Infrared Pictures and Domain Entertainment a Safehouse Pictures / Circle Management + Production of a film by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen: NOVOCAINE. Executive Produced by Paul Barbeau, Glen Basner, Josh Adler, Lars Jacobson, Alison Cohen, Pete Chiappetta, Isabela Salas, Paul Neinstein. Produced by Drew Simon, Tory Tunnell, Joby Harold, Sam Speiser, Matt Schwartz, Julian Rosenberg. Written by Lars Jacobson. Directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen.
NOVOCAINE is rated R for strong bloody violence, grisly images and language throughout.
* The film’s availability in additional international Paramount+ markets will be announced at a later date.
