Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, giving fans a closer look at the latest take on Marvel’s First Family. The film opens in theaters on July 25, 2025.
Set in a retro-futuristic 1960s world, the story follows Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they step into the spotlight as the Fantastic Four. But their biggest challenge isn’t just using their powers—it’s staying united as a family while facing a threat that could destroy Earth.

That threat comes in the form of Galactus, a cosmic force with plans to consume the planet. Played by Ralph Ineson, Galactus is joined by his powerful Herald, the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner. When the battle becomes personal, the stakes rise even higher.
The film also features Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. It’s directed by Matt Shakman, produced by Kevin Feige, and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis.
Along with the trailer, Marvel unveiled a new poster showing the Fantastic Four, their robot companion H.E.R.B.I.E., and the film’s bold, 1960s-inspired style.
