Netflix has announced the release dates for Bridgerton Season 4, the next installment of its widely watched period drama from Shondaland. The new season will debut in two parts in early 2026, extending a franchise that has ranked among Netflix’s most popular series since its debut in 2020.

The fourth season will consist of eight episodes released across two dates. Part 1, comprising episodes 401 through 404, will premiere on January 29, 2026. Part 2, featuring episodes 405 through 408, will follow on February 26, 2026. All episodes will stream exclusively on Netflix. Ahead of the season’s debut, Netflix will host the Bridgerton Season 4 World Premiere Masquerade, a live-streamed red carpet event scheduled for January 14, 2026, from Paris, France. The event will include cast interviews and the debut screening of the season’s first episode.

From Shondaland and showrunner Jess Brownell, Bridgerton returns with a fairy-tale inspired storyline centered on Benedict Bridgerton, portrayed by Luke Thompson. The artistic and unconventional second son continues to resist expectations to marry, despite encouragement from family matriarch Lady Violet Bridgerton. His perspective shifts after an encounter at Violet’s masquerade ball, where he becomes captivated by a masked woman known as the Lady in Silver.

With assistance from his sister Eloise, Benedict searches London society to uncover the woman’s identity. Unbeknownst to him, the object of his fascination is Sophie Baek, a resourceful maid employed by the formidable Araminta Gun. As their lives intersect, Benedict struggles to reconcile the fantasy of the Lady in Silver with his growing affection for Sophie, unaware that the two women are the same person. The season explores themes of identity, love, and the social boundaries that define Regency-era society.

Season 4 also reflects the evolving lives of the broader Bridgerton family, drawing inspiration from the marriages of Francesca Bridgerton and Colin Bridgerton. Penelope Bridgerton faces new challenges as a now public gossip columnist. Since its debut, Bridgerton has grown into one of Netflix’s most successful franchises, expanding into live experiences and consumer products, with Season 4 continuing to build on its global cultural footprint.
