Marvel Studios has released the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The preview confirms the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers in the upcoming Marvel film.
Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, longtime collaborators with Marvel Studios. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in one year, with a confirmed theatrical release date of December 18, 2026.
Marvel Studios has also confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will appear in Avengers: Doomsday in a new role. Downey previously portrayed Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, across 10 Marvel films. In the upcoming movie, he will play the Marvel villain Victor von Doom.
The film features a large ensemble cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal.
