The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) continues a cherished Filipino Christmas tradition as it hosts Simbang Gabi 2025 from December 16 to 24. The annual observance brings together faith, culture, and community in a season defined by reflection, gratitude, and hope.
This year’s Simbang Gabi features nine dawn masses (Misa de Gallo) celebrated at 5:00 a.m., culminating in the Christmas Eve Mass (Misa de Aguinaldo) on December 24 at 8:00 p.m. All masses will take place at the CCP Annex Parking Lot along Vicente Sotto Street at the CCP Complex.

One of CCP’s longest-running holiday traditions, Simbang Gabi goes beyond religious devotion. It stands as a meaningful gathering where Filipino faith and artistic expression come together, reinforcing the deep connection between spirituality and culture.
The Hermanas and Hermanos of the Misa de Gallo include the Philippine Navy, Camus-Corrado, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), and Seascape. Their participation reflects the collective support behind this enduring celebration.
On December 24, the CCP will present special pre-show activities beginning at 7:00 p.m. Following the nativity story, the program enhances both the solemn and joyful spirit of the Misa de Aguinaldo, preparing the community for the Christmas Eve Mass.
Headlining the celebration are the Philippine Madrigal Singers, joined by soprano Myramae Meneses and other distinguished artists and performers. Their participation highlights CCP’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage by integrating the arts into shared traditions.
“This season brings our community together in faith and creativity. Through Simbang Gabi, we celebrate not just the spirit of Christmas but also the artists and cultural workers whose passion uplifts our traditions,” said CCP President Kaye Tinga.
Admission to all masses is free, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early. The Christmas Eve Mass will be officiated by Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite and will be livestreamed on the CCP Facebook page.
The CCP invites everyone to join Simbang Gabi 2025 and take part in a celebration of unity, devotion, and hope that defines the Filipino Christmas. For updates and announcements, follow the CCP’s official social media channels.
