Newport World Resorts rolls out a powerhouse slate of concerts and musicals for the rest of 2025 and the opening months of 2026. The integrated resorts unveils a packed calendar featuring major OPM acts, beloved Broadway favorites, and a fresh wave of Filipino theatrical productions—setting the stage for a high-impact season designed to draw fans across genres.

Leading the charge is Shrek The Musical, bringing “Shrek and his fairytale crew” to the Philippine stage in a large-scale adaptation of the global Broadway favorite. Newport World Resorts showcases top Filipino theater talent in this “ogre-sized production,” running until December 21, 2025, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.

December amplifies the celebration of Original Pilipino Music with a trio of standout shows. On December 8, Truefaith marks 33 years with “Truefaith 33,” a milestone anniversary concert spotlighting the band’s enduring legacy. The following evening, December 9, Nonoy Zuñiga delivers an encore performance of his 50th anniversary showcase “Beyond Gold: Songs of a Lifetime.”

The festivities continue on December 10 and 11 with Here and Now: Celebrating the Music of Jose Mari Chan, a two-night, sold-out tribute to the iconic hitmaker. The concert features special appearances from fellow OPM artists, honoring the timeless catalog that shaped generations of Filipino listeners.

Newport World Resorts then closes out the year with its signature New Year’s Eve spectacle, The Grand Countdown to 2026, at the Marriott Grand Ballroom. The star-packed celebration features powerhouse performances from Jessica Sanchez, Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli, Bamboo, Cup of Joe, Amiel Sol, Earl Agustin, Janine Teñoso, GAT, and RAYA, hosted by Billy Crawford.

Opening January 23, 2026, Bagets: The Musical launches the new theater year. A reimagining of the 1984 film, the production is staged by PETA Plus, led by director Maribel Legarda, playwright J-mee Katanyag, and musical director Vince Lim, in partnership with Newport World Resorts, Philippine STAR, and VIVA Communications.
