Nine Inch Nails has released the original motion picture soundtrack for TRON: Ares, the upcoming third installment in Disney’s TRON franchise. Released via Interscope Records, the album features all-new music by the band and marks their first official film score under the Nine Inch Nails name.

Though bandmates Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed 20 film scores under their own names—earning two Academy Awards®, three Golden Globes®, a GRAMMY® and an Emmy®—TRON: Ares represents a new chapter. The score moves away from orchestral traditions entirely, delivering a soundscape shaped by pulsating synths, distorted textures and haunting melodies.
Described as “a bracing departure from their previous film scores,” the album is a full-force expression of Nine Inch Nails’ signature style. It “stands among Nine Inch Nails’ most compelling albums as analog soul and digital dread collide,” humming with “menace, melancholy and momentum.”

Directed by Joachim Rønning, TRON: Ares stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges. The film follows Ares, a highly sophisticated Program sent into the real world on a dangerous mission—marking humanity’s first contact with artificial intelligence.
TRON: Ares opens in Philippine theaters on October 8, 2025.
