Gurinder Chadha’s new festive musical Christmas Karma will hit cinemas across the UK and Ireland on November 14, 2025, True Brit Entertainment has announced.

Alongside the release date, the first look posters were revealed, showcasing the cast in full Christmas costume. Described as “a festive, fresh and feel-good musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol,” the film puts a vibrant, multicultural spin on the holiday classic.

Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) stars as Mr. Sood, a modern-day Scrooge. He’s joined by Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, and Boy George as the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Hugh Bonneville plays the Ghost of Jacob Marley, with Danny Dyer as The London Cabbie. The cast also includes Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran, and Bilal Hasna.

Written and directed by Chadha, known for Bend It Like Beckham and Blinded By The Light, Christmas Karma blends comedy, music, and heartfelt emotion into a bold holiday celebration. The character posters offer a glimpse of the film’s colourful style — and feature a snippet of the soundtrack, shared on Instagram.

The film’s music is described as “an eclectic soundtrack influenced by gospel, bhangra, Christmas carols, rap and classic pop.” It features work by Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, Shaznay Lewis, Ben Cullum, Panjabi MC, and Malkit Singh, and is billed as “a joyous and colourful musical celebration of Britain today and all of its communities and cultures.”
