After a buzzworthy and successful run, VLF XX: Hinog is finally making its return with a special one-night-only extension on August 21 at 8 PM, taking center stage at the CCP Tanghalang Ignacio B. Gimenez (CCP Blackbox Theater). The much-anticipated show was originally slated for July but was postponed.

Titled VLF XX: Extended, the evening will showcase select standout plays from the recently concluded 20th edition: MINATING NI MARIAH ANG MANTO NG MOMMY NI MAMA MARY by Eljay Castro Deldoc, MOMMY G by Jobert Grey Landeza, and PRESIDENTIAL SUITE #2 by Siege Malvar.

VLF XX: Hinog
Eljat Castro Deldoc’s MINATING NI MARIAH ANG MANTO NG MOMMY NI MAMA MARY

In Deldoc’s sharp one-act piece, a former con artist named Mariah tries to redeem himself by joining an annual Lenten Exhibit—only to face a twist when he’s accused of stealing St. Mary Magdalene’s antique veil.

Landeza’s Mommy G, stepping in for Ryan Machado’s Don’t Meow For Me Catriona, brings high drama to a family dinner celebrating the matriarch’s 65th birthday. Mommy G shakes things up, challenging her children’s beliefs, relationships, and ability to accept a surprising new “member” of the family.

Making a striking VLF debut, Malvar’s Presidential Suite #2 delivers a satirical take on Philippine politics. When Senator Zaragoza slips into a coma amid a money laundering scandal, her children scramble to protect—and prolong—their family’s political legacy. For this extended performance, Eko Baquial takes over the role originally played by Andoy Ranay, while Eric Dela Cruz steps in for Ariel Diccion.

Tickets for VLF XX: Extended are priced at P800 (regular) and P1000 (premium), and are available through Ticketworld, Ticket2Me, and the CCP TIG Box Office.
