The cast and creators of Percy Jackson and the Olympians took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H on Thursday, unveiling a series of announcements for the Disney+ adaptation of Rick Riordan’s bestselling book series.
The panel featured lead actors Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan), Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue), and Daniel Diemer (Tyson). They were joined by executive producers Jonathan E. Steinberg, Dan Shotz, and Craig Silverstein. The event was moderated by actor and comedian Timothy Simons, who appears in the series as Tantalus.

Attendees were shown a new teaser for the upcoming second season, including a first look at the character Tyson, a fan-favorite cyclops.
In a video message, Rick Riordan, who serves as executive producer and co-creator of the series, announced that Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will premiere December 10, 2025, exclusively on Disney+.
Riordan also confirmed that casting has been completed for two major characters debuting in Season 3: Nico di Angelo and Bianca, both children of Hades. Levi Chrisopulos will portray Nico in a series regular role, with Olive Abercrombie appearing as Bianca in a recurring capacity. Production on the third season is scheduled to begin soon.
Season 2 adapts The Sea of Monsters, the second novel in the series. The storyline follows Percy’s journey into the Sea of Monsters to recover the Golden Fleece and rescue his friend Grover, after the magical barriers protecting Camp Half-Blood are compromised.
Visitors to Comic-Con can also take part in “The Percy Jackson Experience,” an immersive activation located outside the convention center, designed to bring the mythological world of the series to life.
Season 2 is produced by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, along with a team of executive producers. Season 1 is currently available to stream on Disney+.
