IV of Spades has officially returned—and this time, with all four original members: Unique Salonga, Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao de Castro. On Wednesday, July 16, the band released a new single titled “Aura” under Sony Music Entertainment.
This marks the first time the original members have worked together since Salonga’s departure in 2018. All four members are credited as the writers of the track.

“Aura” also comes with a music video edited and directed by Raliug and presented by Lunchbox. The song is notable for its laidback indie pop sound, expressing themes of love and devotion in a chaotic but beautiful world.
IV of Spades first formed in 2014. The band gained recognition with songs like “Ilaw Sa Daan,” “Hey Barbara,” “Where Have You Been, My Disco?,” and “Mundo.” Their single “Come Inside of My Heart” achieved international success and landed on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100. In 2019, they released their debut album CLAPCLAPCLAP!
The band last released a single, “Sariling Multo (Sa Panaginip),” in April 2020. A few months later, in August 2020, they announced an indefinite hiatus, stating they would focus on their personal interests and take a “needed time off” as a band.
During this break, the members pursued solo projects. Unique Salonga released three solo albums: Grandma (2018), PANGALAN: (2020), and Daisy (2023). Zild Benitez began his solo career during the pandemic and has since released four albums, including Homework Machine (2020) and Superpower (2024). Blaster Silonga released MY KOSMIK ISLAND DISK in 2022, followed by Last Fool Show in 2025. Badjao de Castro became the drummer of experimental rock supergroup Party Pace, which has released two albums: Nauseous (2022) and MoreHawks (2025).
