Prime Video has announced The Runarounds, a new coming-of-age series from Outer Banks creator Jonas Pate. The eight-episode show will premiere this fall and stream in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Set in Wilmington, North Carolina, The Runarounds follows a group of recent high school graduates who form a rock band during the summer after graduation. United by their love for music and a dream of making it big, they set out on an unforgettable journey. Along the way, they fall in love, face challenges, and form deep bonds that feel like family.

The series features original music performed by the band members themselves—real-life musicians William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher. They’re joined by Lilah Pate, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur, and Shea Pritchard.
The Runarounds is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Skydance Television. Executive producers include Jonas Pate, Joon Yun, David Wilcox, Josh Pate, Shannon Burke, Scott Lambert, and Lisa Mae Fincannon, along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance.
Blending music, romance, and the highs and lows of growing up, The Runarounds captures the energy and emotion of chasing your dreams at the edge of adulthood.
