Mirèio: Gastronomic Indulgence with Master Chef Yew Eng Tong

Born and raised in Singapore, Chef Yew Eng Tong boasts an impressive international culinary background. He was the opening chef of Ocean restaurant at Resorts World Sentosa, collaborating with celebrity chef Cat Cora on a farm-to-table concept. A firm believer in foundational cooking, Chef Yew credits his transformative experience working with 3-Michelin-starred Chef Christian Bau of Victor’s Dining. He has consistently been part of Chef Bau’s Asian team for prestigious four-hands pop-up events, most recently at the Michelin-starred Noi at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong.

Chef Yew’s competitive spirit and exceptional skills are evident in his achievements. He captained the Singapore National Culinary Team to victory at the Culinary Olympics 2014 in Germany. Furthermore, he proudly represented Singapore at the Bocuse d’Or competition from 2013 to 2017, achieving the top position at the Asia selection in Shanghai in 2012, surpassing culinary talents from across Southeast Asia, including Japan. His global recognition extends to being an invited guest chef at the James Beard gala dinner in New York (2016) and the Engelhorn Gourmet Festival in Mannheim, Germany (2016 and 2019).
