Multi-million-selling and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Adam Lambert, has signed a record deal with Warner Music UK through its EastWest Records label. Lambert’s first release under EastWest, out this Friday, is a version of Noël Coward’s ‘Mad About The Boy’, the theme song for the recently announced documentary Mad About The Boy – The Noël Coward Story.

Known for his incredible vocal performances, Lambert has sold more than three million albums and five million singles worldwide to date, while landing three Top Five records in the US, including a Number One for his second studio album, Trespassing.

He is also known for collaborating and touring with legendary rock band Queen. Their first live record, Live Around The World, debuted at Number One in the UK.

Adam Lambert says: “Working alongside the team at Warner Music UK, I’m excited to embark on this next stage of my career. I’ve been working on some great new music which I can’t wait for my fans to hear. I’m also looking forward to sharing my cover of the great Noël Coward’s ‘Mad About The Boy’ – it’s an honour to be able to put my own spin on such a classic song.”

Myn Jazeel, Senior Vice President, Rhino UK, adds: “Adam is a true modern day icon who has been at the top of his game for more than 10 years. We’re excited to work with him on his new music, which will delight his passionate fanbase, while showcasing what an incredible vocalist and performer he is to a new audience.”

Lambert shot to fame in 2009 when he came second on American Idol. In the same year, he released his debut album, For Your Entertainment, which charted at Number Three in the US and has sold more than a million copies worldwide.

His second album, Trespassing, was released in 2012. The record was an instant hit, topping the US chart and making him the first out artist to do so, while it landed in Top 10s all around the world. This was followed by another Top Three album, The Original High, in 2015, and his latest record, Velvet, in 2020.

Since 2011, Lambert has toured extensively with Queen as part of the group Queen + Adam Lambert. Together they have completed three worldwide stadium tours and, earlier this year, played 10 shows at London’s The o2 Arena.

This Friday sees the release of Lambert’s stunning version of Noël Coward’s ‘Mad About The Boy’. The feature documentary of the same name has been produced by Warner Music Entertainment, the television and film division of Warner Music Group.
