Shady Brunch: A Live Reading Puksaan brought together performers from Drag Race Philippines Season 3 last Saturday for a reunion event in Manila. The program featured Khianna, Angel Galang, Tita Baby, Zymba Ding, Myx Chanel, Popstar Bench, J. Quinn, Yudipota, Versex, and Season 3 winner Maxie Andreison. Slaysian Royale performers Viñas Deluxe, Arizona Brandy, and Slaysian Royale Superstar Brigiding also appeared, adding additional performances and audience interactions.
Shady Brunch, produced by Adonis Prod House, is a semi-regular drag variety show recognized for its mix of comedy, themed performances, and audience voting. Attendees cast “Pak” or “Wiz” votes to determine segment winners, a format that has helped the show develop a consistent following. Organizers report that recent shows have reached full capacity, underscoring the continued interest in live drag programming in Manila.
The event forms part of Adonis Prodhouse’s broader effort to expand platforms for Filipino drag and queer performers. The production group has introduced multiple live programs—among them D’Intervention Viewing Parties, Baksilog Drag Brunches, Drag Del Norte, Brigiding CAKE, District Divas, and Rampa o Bawi—to increase visibility for local artists.

Producer Adrian Sevilla said the mission behind these shows is to create sustained opportunities for performers. “Our goal has always been to provide a platform for Filipino queer talents to shine. Through our shows, we’ve opened doors for drag artists and other creatives to be seen, heard, and celebrated, helping raise the visibility of Filipino artistry on stage and beyond,” he said. Sevilla added that the intention is not only to present entertainment but to establish meaningful creative spaces. “We have carried that mission of serving not just entertainment, but a space for creativity, representation, and community.”
Shady Brunch remains a regular presence in Manila’s drag calendar. The next edition is scheduled for December 20, with additional Adonis productions—including District Divas and Rampa o Bawi—set to return in the coming months.
