Paddington The Musical is turning up the buzz in the West End, unveiling a behind-the-scenes look at the new number “Rhythm of London” while officially locking in the release date for its original cast album, now available to pre-order. With the show’s run extended to October 2026, the production continues to stake its claim as one of London’s most anticipated theatrical events.

The cast recording, released by Decca Records, arrives in March 2026, with a vinyl edition following in May. Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, the album features the full West End cast and orchestra—an unmistakably big-stage sound. The newly released musical excerpt offers a bright, rhythmic glimpse into the world the creative team is building onstage.
Led by music and lyrics from Tom Fletcher, a book by Jessica Swale, and direction by Luke Sheppard, the production draws from A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond and the beloved film adaptation, presented by special arrangement with StudioCanal.
The cast includes James Hameed (Paddington off-stage performer and remote puppeteer), Arti Shah (Paddington on-stage performer), Timi Akinyosade, Amy Booth-Steel, Tarinn Callender, Delilah Bennett-Cardy, Adrian Der Gregorian, Tom Edden, Brenda Edwards, Amy Ellen Richardson, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, Teddy Kempner, and Bonnie Langford. Jonathan Brown is portrayed by Joseph Bramley, Leo Collon, Stevie Hare, and Jasper Rowse, with Abbie Purvis and Ali Sarebani serving as alternate Paddington on-stage performers.
The team behind Paddington’s signature movement and character includes Tahra Zafar (Paddington bear designer), Audrey Brisson (Bear physicality associate director), Phill Woodfine (remote puppetry coach), and Annabelle Davis (Paddington bear casting director).
The ensemble features Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Tiago Dhondt Bamberger, David Birch, Aimée Fisher, Jacqueline Hughes, Kellianna Jay, Sam Lathwood, Natasha Leaver, Katie Lee, Sunny Lee, Vicki Lee Taylor, Jáiden Lodge, Andilé Mabhena, Rose Mary O’Reilly, Ben Redfern, Hugo Rolland, Simon Shorten, and Hassan Taj.
The musical follows Paddington’s journey from Peru to London, where he finds a home with the Browns and becomes entangled in a villain’s plot—ultimately reminding the family just how much they need him. The production continues its run through 25 October 2026.
