Big Bird, Elmo, and the gang are getting even more screen time. YouTube has announced an expanded partnership with Sesame Street that will bring a treasure trove of content to families tuning in from living rooms everywhere.
Starting January 2026, YouTube will become the largest digital home for Sesame Street, hosting hundreds of full episodes alongside original YouTube-exclusive videos. That means more chances to count with The Count, giggle with Elmo, and learn life lessons from your favorite furry friends — all in one place.

The timing couldn’t be better. In the past year, Sesame Street‘s YouTube channels racked up over 5 billion views — a 130% jump from the year before. And it’s not just on phones or tablets: more than half of that watch time is happening on connected TVs. As YouTube puts it, this partnership is “a natural fit.”
But it’s not just about numbers — it’s about learning through laughter. As part of the expanded partnership, Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind Sesame Street, will host a series of workshops for YouTube creators. Drawing on over 50 years of experience in curriculum-based children’s programming, they’ll share how to craft content that’s both giggle-worthy and brain-boosting.
“This partnership is another example of how we’re bringing everything families want to watch together in one place,” YouTube said. From Ms. Rachel to Doggyland and Gabby’s Dollhouse, families can now find all their favorites — Sesame Street included — side by side on YouTube and YouTube Kids.
“We are excited to bring these stories to families around the world,” the company added.
So whether it’s sunny days sweeping the clouds away or just another chance to learn your ABCs, Sesame Street on YouTube is ready to welcome a whole new generation of viewers to the neighborhood.
