Ben&Ben isn’t just writing songs — they’re sending lifelines. With Ben&Ben’s “BURN,” it turns heartbreak, trauma, and healing into something raw, real, and resolute. Pulled from their 2024 album The Traveller Across Dimensions, the track is a dedication and a blazing love letter to anyone who’s ever been burned and want to walk away stronger.

Ben&Ben’s BURN

“Woke up sober from your nightmare / What a sigh of relief,” the song begins, calmly pulling you out of wreckage. But don’t mistake calm for soft — this one hits hard. “I’m so done with the trauma / Of your dignified manipulation,” they sing, unflinching. It’s not about vengeance. It’s about release.

Switching between English and Filipino, the band draws from deep emotional wounds — and the quiet power of surviving them. “Ilang taon din ang inabot ng paghilom ko / Sa pagkabasag, tumibay ako lalo.” This isn’t just poetry — it’s testimony.

Written by Paolo and Miguel Benjamin, the Filipino nine-piece (with Patricia Lasaten, Agnes Reoma, Poch Barretto, Jam Villanueva, Toni Muñoz, Andrew De Pano, Keifer Cabugao) performed live in one raw, uninterrupted take, “BURN” was spontaneously filmed during a surprise busking session in Bacolod’s Art District. The video, full of unfiltered energy, is as stripped and sincere as the track itself.

And the message? Crystal clear. “Kung pagod ka na at gusto mo nang lumaya, para sa’yo ‘tong kanta.” If you’re tired, if you’re aching, if you’re done — this one’s for you.

“BURN” doesn’t wallow. It doesn’t beg. It walks away — head high, heart intact, and finally free.
