Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date, teaser trailer, and teaser artwork for Young Sherlock, starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin, best known for the After series. The series is directed and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, promising a bold, action-packed reimagining of the iconic detective’s early life.
Set to debut on March 4, 2026, all eight episodes of Young Sherlock will be available exclusively on Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The series explores the origin story of Sherlock Holmes in an irreverent, action-filled mystery that charts his first steps toward becoming the legendary detective.

Unfolding in 1870s Oxford and venturing abroad, Young Sherlock showcases the anarchic antics of a young Sherlock before he becomes the renowned figure at Baker Street. With all the wit and charm of Ritchie’s previous Sherlock Holmes films, the series promises a fresh take while staying true to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s timeless character.
The cast features Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor), and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech). Guy Ritchie directs the first two episodes and serves as executive producer alongside showrunner Matthew Parkhill. Other executive producers include Dhana Rivera Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson, with Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson as co-executive producers. Physical production is led by Motive Pictures.
