Brigiding reached a career milestone on Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale, earning her first RuBadge in the very same episode where she was eliminated during Season 1. The moment served as a powerful full-circle point in her return to the competition.

This week’s challenge, titled “Family Rusemblance,” paired two queens with overseas Filipino worker (OFW) mothers. The task: create matching drag looks that reflected both familial connection and individual style. It tested creativity, emotional depth, and the ability to present a unified image on stage.

Brigiding’s path back to the show has combined personal growth with artistic maturity. In Episode 4, she spoke candidly about her struggles in her original season, offering viewers a more vulnerable and reflective side of her journey. That same episode featured her “Facetival” runway—an outfit inspired by religious iconography—which quickly went viral on Twitter and sparked widespread discussion for its impact and symbolism.

“This journey means more to me than just competition. It’s about resilience, reinvention, and staying true to who I am,” Brigiding said. “I’ve always believed that learning is the new winning, and I carry that with me every step of the way.”

She continued, “As Mother of the House of Ding, I embrace the many forms of love in my life, including chosen family. I hope my story shows that strength can be found in vulnerability, and that drag has the power to heal and inspire.”

Brigiding’s first RuBadge marks a new era in her career—one that celebrates authenticity, self-acceptance, and emotional resonance. Her story highlights not just her personal transformation but also the evolving landscape of Filipino drag culture.

Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale streams every Wednesday on WOW Presents Plus. Weekly live viewing parties are held at Rampa starting at 6 p.m.
