Prime Video has announced the premiere date for its upcoming thriller series Harlan Coben’s Lazarus and released first-look images from the show. The six-episode series will launch globally on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
The series is based on an original story by New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben and is co-written by Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst.
Harlan Coben’s Lazarus follows Joel Lazarus, played by Sam Claflin, who returns home after the suicide of his father, Dr. Jonathan Lazarus, portrayed by Bill Nighy. Joel begins experiencing disturbing and unexplained events and soon finds himself caught up in a series of cold-case murders. At the same time, he confronts the unsolved murder of his sister, which happened 25 years earlier.
The cast also includes Alexandra Roach as Jenna Lazarus, David Fynn as Seth McGovern, Karla Crome as Bella Catton, and Kate Ashfield as Detective Alison Brown.
Coben and Brocklehurst serve as executive producers and writers on the series, alongside Nicola Shindler (Nolly, It’s A Sin), Richard Fee (Fool Me Once, The Stranger), and Sam Claflin. Wayne Che Yip (Rings of Power, Utopia) directs the first two episodes and also serves as executive producer. Matt Strevens (Doctor Who, Capital) is producing.
The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Quay Street Productions, in association with Final Twist Productions.
