Wes Anderson’s newest film, The Phoenician Scheme, begins streaming exclusively on Peacock starting July 25. The adventure-comedy is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes and features a globe-trotting plot, sharp humor, and a star-packed cast.
The film stars Benicio del Toro as Anatole “Zsa-zsa” Korda, one of the richest and most dangerous men in Europe. After surviving his sixth assassination attempt, Korda must appoint a successor to complete his decades-long business mission. He turns to his estranged daughter Liesl (Mia Threapleton), who also happens to be a nun. With her personal tutor Bjorn (Michael Cera) joining them, the trio sets off on a wild international journey.
Directed and written by Oscar-nominated Wes Anderson, The Phoenician Scheme boasts a remarkable ensemble cast, including Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Wright, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Ayoade, Rupert Friend, Hope Davis, and Mathieu Amalric.
The film is executive produced by Roman Coppola and Henning Molfenter, with a story by Anderson and Coppola. The runtime is 101 minutes.

Peacock is also home to more Focus Features titles such as Black Bag, Drive-Away Dolls, Stillwater, Tár, and The Outfit. Peacock subscribers enjoy early access to Universal’s biggest releases, often with bonus content and alternate versions.
Coming in 2025, Peacock will exclusively debut Universal hits including The Wild Robot, Wicked, Dog Man, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. Earlier this year, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy premiered as a Peacock Original during Valentine’s Day weekend.
Don’t miss the action, laughs, and star power—The Phoenician Scheme begins streaming July 25, only on Peacock.
