Opening with sparse piano and hauntingly introspective lyrics, “Gut Punch” immediately cuts to the heart. Jonas lays bare moments of self-doubt before hitting a chant-ready chorus: “Hit me like a gut punch. I hurt my own feelings. How did I get so good at being mean to myself?”
