In a first-ever collaboration, Uniqlo joins forces with cult Japanese label Needles to debut a collection that marries functional design with fashion-forward flair. Launching October 31, the partnership brings together Uniqlo’s precision craftsmanship and Needles’ signature aesthetic—an elevated fusion of minimalism and statement detail.
Founded by Keizo Shimizu in 1995 under the umbrella of his Tokyo-based boutique Nepenthes, Needles has long captivated style insiders with its vintage-inflected tailoring and unmistakable butterfly motif. Now, Shimizu brings that distinctive vision to Uniqlo’s most iconic material: fleece.

The capsule includes three essential pieces—each quietly commanding in design and execution. The Fleece Zipped Jacket nods to the 1970s with its relaxed silhouette and refined palette. The Oversized Fleece Cardigan, offered in both solid and striped versions, seamlessly blends Needles’ emblematic patterns with Uniqlo’s modern proportions. Completing the trio, the Wide-Leg Fleece Trousers elevate loungewear with a straight-leg silhouette and tonal side stripe that channels understated elegance.
Rendered in a sophisticated palette of black, grey, beige, and purple, the collection speaks to both brands’ mastery of subtle expression. It’s unisex, wearable, and quietly subversive—the kind of collaboration that doesn’t chase trends but sets them.
The UNIQLO x NEEDLES collection will be available from October 31, 2025, at the UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store, UNIQLO SM Mall of Asia, UNIQLO SM Megamall, and the online store at uniqlo.com. The lineup includes the Fleece Full-Zip Jacket priced at ₱2,490, the Fleece Oversized Cardigan at ₱1,990, and the Fleece Wide Pants also at ₱1,990.
