‘Come See Me in the Good Light’: Courage in the Face of Cancer

Apple Original Films has released the trailer and key art for Come See Me in the Good Light, a powerful documentary about poets Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley. The film follows their journey as they face an incurable cancer diagnosis with courage, humor, and deep love.

Described as an “unexpectedly funny love story,” the documentary which premieres November 14, 2025, shows how Gibson and Falley turn pain into purpose. Through laughter and unwavering partnership, they transform mortality into a moving celebration of life and resilience.

'Come See Me in the Good Light'

The film is directed by Ryan White, who also produces alongside Jessica Hargrave, Tig Notaro, and Stef Willen.

An original song featured in the documentary is performed by Grammy Award winner and Emmy nominee Sara Bareilles and Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award nominee Brandi Carlile. The song was co-written by Andrea Gibson, Bareilles, and Carlile.

The documentary’s executive producers include Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, Lauren Haber, Joe Lewis, Rachel Eggebeen, Colin King Miller, Catherine Carlile, Brandi Carlile, Susan Yeagley, Kevin Nealon, Galia Gichon, Sara Bareilles, Amanda Doyle, Christi Offut, Soraida Bedoya, Melony Lewis, and Adam Lewis.

Since premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, Come See Me in the Good Light has received critical acclaim and several awards. It won the Festival Favorite Award at Sundance, the Audience Award at both the San Francisco International Film Festival and Hot Docs, and the Best Documentary Award at the Seattle International Film Festival.
