Weapons, a Warner Bros. Pictures release from New Line Cinema, will begin streaming globally on HBO Max starting Friday, October 24. The film will also stream on HBO’s linear channel on Saturday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The movie stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, and Cary Christopher, with Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan rounding out the cast.

The plot centers on a disturbing and unexplained event. According to the official synopsis, “When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at 2:17 a.m., a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.”
Weapons is written and directed by Zach Cregger, who also serves as a producer. He is joined by producers Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules. Michelle Morrissey and Josh Brolin serve as executive producers.
The film joins a slate of major titles currently streaming on HBO Max. The platform features content from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Turner Classic Movies, A24, Studio Ghibli, and more. Offerings include recent releases, critically acclaimed films, and well-known franchises.
Among the titles available to stream are A Minecraft Movie and Sinners, along with fan-favorite franchises like It, The Conjuring, and Final Destination. HBO Max describes its selection as “movies that hit different.”
Weapons marks the latest addition to HBO Max’s streaming lineup, as the service continues to roll out exclusive premieres and high-profile titles.
