Disney is pulling fans back into the digital frontier with TRON: Ares, and to celebrate, they’ve transformed the SM North EDSA Annex Atrium into a slice of the Grid—a themed display complete with a show-stopping Light Cycle centerpiece. The immersive setup runs through October 12 and brings the sleek, high-tech world of TRON into the real one.

The latest chapter in the iconic sci-fi saga, TRON: Ares dives into a thrilling new story where artificial intelligence steps out of the digital world and into ours. It’s a bold return for the franchise—and a timely one.

“The bar was really high,” says Oscar®-nominated director Joachim Rønning. “I wanted to design something new, but familiar. What drew me to the project was the mix of the digital and real worlds. Having a Program exist in the real world was interesting for me—I hadn’t seen that before. And the idea of Ares finding out what it means to be human was fascinating.”

Leading the film is Jared Leto as Ares, a sentient program confronting the complexities of human life. For Leto, it’s more than just a role—it’s a dream project. “I’m a TRON super fan,” he shares. “It captured my imagination and showed me a world I never imagined before. It was this combination of technology and creativity that really attracted me.”
