The global hit MJ: The Michael Jackson Musical will launch its first-ever International Asian Tour in October 2026. Over two years, the production will visit major cities across Asia with a brand-new international cast. Tour dates and casting details will be announced in the coming months.
Seen by over 5 million people worldwide, MJ has thrilled audiences on Broadway, in London’s West End, Hamburg, Sydney, and across the U.S. Melbourne is set to welcome the show this September, marking the latest milestone in the production’s global success.

We now have the great privilege of bringing this production, as originally conceived by Christopher Wheeldon and his incredible creative team, to audiences throughout Asia.”

Directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon OBE, MJ is set in 1992 and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour. Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, the show explores the creative mind and personal journey of one of music’s most influential figures.
Featuring more than 25 of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits—including Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, and Thriller—MJ delivers a high-energy, emotionally rich theatrical experience.
The show was nominated for 10 Tony Awards and won four, including Best Choreography, and Best Actor in a Musical for original Broadway star Myles Frost. It also received three Olivier Award nominations, with Christopher Wheeldon winning for Best Theatre Choreography.
An all-new international company will bring MJ to life across Asia. Tour stops and casting announcements will be shared in the lead-up to the October 2026 launch.
