The iconic Fendi Spy Bag is back. First launched in 2005 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Spy Bag became a defining accessory of the 2000s. Now, to celebrate the house’s 100th anniversary, it returns with a modern twist as part of the Fall/Winter 2025-26 collection.
The new Spy Bag keeps its signature look—twisted handles, a slouchy silhouette, and a hidden pocket. This pocket, tucked beneath the flap and accessible by a discreet button, remains a central feature. “I liked the idea of the secret compartment because a bag is a place where you keep your most intimate belongings. It’s an extension of yourself,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi. “I like that there might be something you’d want to keep just for you, that’s why I conceived the hidden pocket.”

The updated design includes a smaller size, in addition to the original. It’s crafted in smooth leather, shearling, and luxury furs, with color options ranging from classic black and chocolate brown to sorbet shades like macaron pink and mint green. A new D-ring on the Regular size allows for personalization with charms, while the Small size can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder.
The relaunch campaign, photographed and directed by Stevie Dance and styled by Anna Trevelyan, features Amelia Gray, Xiao Wen Ju, and Gabbriette. The short film tells the story of an underground collector in search of the elusive Spy Bag, blending cinematic storytelling with fashion nostalgia.
Part of Fendi’s “Fendi 100” collection, the Spy Bag reissue celebrates the house’s legacy. Venturini Fendi notes the collection reflects her “personal memories — real or imagined — of what Fendi was and what Fendi means today.”
The Fendi Spy Bag will launch globally on July 17, 2025, in select boutiques and on fendi.com. With its blend of heritage and innovation, the Spy Bag returns not just as a nod to the past, but as a timeless accessory for a new generation.
