The Sandman

Tom Sturridge reprises his role as Dream, a cosmic being wrestling with the consequences of his past. “Dream must face one impossible decision after another as he attempts to save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world from the epic fallout of his past misdeeds.” Kirby Howell-Baptiste returns as Death, with Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Donna Preston as Despair, and Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne. The cast also includes Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Esmé Creed-Miles, Adrian Lester, Patton Oswalt, Stephen Fry, and many others.

This season adapts some of the most beloved arcs from Neil Gaiman’s iconic DC comic, including Season of Mists, Brief Lives, The Kindly Ones, and The Sandman: Overture. It will also feature standout single-issue stories like “Tales in the Sand,” “The Song of Orpheus,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Thermidor,” and “The Tempest.”

To seek redemption, Dream must confront gods, monsters, mortals—and himself. “The path to forgiveness is full of unexpected twists and turns, and true absolution may cost Dream everything.”

Allan Heinberg serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, alongside David S. Goyer and Neil Gaiman. Jamie Childs directs all episodes.

Produced by Warner Bros. Television, The Sandman closes its story with the same bold vision that made it a standout in fantasy television.
