Artist Playground marks its 10th year of fearless creative exploration with the debut of REVERSE CARD, a psychological thriller written by Chase Kyle Loza and directed by Paul Jake Paule.
The play runs on August 2 and 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM at the Black Box Theater, Erehwon Center for the Arts. This milestone production highlights Artist Playground’s continued commitment to provocative, boundary-pushing storytelling.

REVERSE CARD follows Marvin, a gay author who has been tormented throughout his life due to his gender identity. In a moment of vulnerability, he invites his former classmate and longtime bully, John, to his home. The evening takes a sinister turn when the author’s latest play is rejected in favor of John’s work.
A two-hander, the play immerses the audience in the suffocating space between two characters locked in a devastating battle. “More than a war of words, this play is a visceral confrontation between humiliation and dignity.”
Gerhard Krysstopher plays Marvin, while Gerald Magallanes joins Artist Playground for the first time as John.
The production features a skilled creative team: Roeder Camañag as Artistic Director, Paul Jake Paule as Director, and Chase Kyle Loza as Playwright. John Denver Martin serves as both Stage Manager and Lighting Designer. Jess Briones handles publicity, Vince Macapobre is the Sales Manager, Christian Silang is the Projection Designer, and Nico Cabanit manages layout and photography. Photography and videography are by Mc Win Llanes.
Production is led by Kimberly Claire Somoza, with Lyka Lopez and Lenn Asis as Assistant Stage and Production Managers.
