Get ready to feel the beat—Glass Heart is coming to Netflix on July 31. The highly anticipated Japanese music drama has just released its main trailer, giving fans a first listen to the title song “Glass Heart.” Written and composed by Yojiro Noda and performed by lead actor Takeru Satoh, the track was made to fulfill the request for “a sound like never before,” showcasing Noda’s unique musical style.
The drama boasts a powerful cast, including Takeru Satoh, Yu Miyazaki, Keita Machida, Jun Shison, and Masaki Suda. The actors spent over a year learning instruments and vocals, even debuting as an actual band.

The trailer opens with the exhilarating melody of “Crystalline Echo,” capturing the band’s meteoric rise. The second half slows down with the newly revealed “Glass Heart,” setting the tone for a story of friendship, jealousy, and romance. One of the highlights is a massive live performance scene, one of the biggest ever filmed for a Japanese drama.
The score is by Masakatsu Takagi, known for Wolf Children. Music producer Katsuya Yamada brought together 26 standout artists, including Taka (ONE OK ROCK), Yohei Kawakami ([Alexandros]), Ryujin Kiyoshi, Yaffle, TeddyLoid, and Tanaka. Vocalists Zarame and ao also add fresh voices to the project.
Glass Heart tells the story of Akane Saijo, a drummer who joins reclusive genius Naoki Fujitani’s new band, TENBLANK, after being dropped from her former group. As they rise to fame, secrets and struggles test their bond—and Akane must discover where her heart truly lies.
Based on the novel by Mio Wakagi, Glass Heart is directed by Kensaku Kakimoto and Kohtaro Goto, and produced by ROBOT. Don’t miss this emotional, music-driven journey—streaming only on Netflix.
